Salt Lake sweeps WNC

Top-ranked Salt Lake Community College completed a four-game series against Western Nevada College on Saturday at Edmonds Sports Complex.

Salt Lake broke a 3-3 tie with a four-run fourth inning to win the opener, 7-3.

In game two, WNC took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, then fell behind 4-1. But the Wildcats battled back to within two runs before the Bruins pulled away late for 10-2 victory. Whitney Holt smacked a pair of solo homers to keep the Bruins unbeaten in conference action.
