Evelyn M. Martin (Mc Mullin, Hirst), born in Gays Mills, Wis. on Sept 16, 1919 to Leslie and Emma Mc Mullin. In 1924, the family moved to Janesville, WI. where she attended school, graduating from high school in 1936. She was employed at the Parker Pen Co. until 1940, when she married Harold D. Hirst of Beloit, WI. They had two children, Judith and David, and in 1946 moved to Long Beach, CA. Another son, Douglas was born in 1953.
