RECORD WARM TEMPERATURES POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND

A STRONG AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD OVER THE WEST COAST ON
THURSDAY AND WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE GREAT BASIN DURING THE
WEEKEND. RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE EASTERN SIERRA STARTING FRIDAY AND ACROSS WESTERN NEVADA SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES IN LOWER ELEVATIONS OF WESTERN NEVADA SHOULD TOP OUT IN THE LOWER 90S, ABOUT 20 DEGREES ABOVE
NORMAL.

AFTERNOON HIGHS ON MONDAY WILL BE SOMEWHAT COOLER IN THE
MID TO UPPER 80S, BUT WILL STILL BE AROUND 15 DEGREES ABOVE
NORMAL.

FOR ANYONE PLANNING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES LATER THIS WEEK AND THIS
WEEKEND, BE PREPARED FOR THE VERY WARM TEMPERATURES. IN ADDITION, IF YOU PLAN TO SPEND TIME AT AREA LAKES OR RIVERS, WATER
TEMPERATURES WILL STILL BE IN THE MID 40S SO USE EXTRA CARE TO
REDUCE THE RISK OF HYPOTHERMIA.
