Local young wrestling enthusiasts will get the chance to learn from one of the best collegiate wrestlers, as well as a current up-and-coming mixed martial arts master, during Saturdays wrestling camp at Incline High School.
The camp, which is open to all sixth through 12th grade students in Incline Village and Crystal Bay, and will feature Mark Munoz, former NCAA National Wrestling Champion and current mixed martial arts fighter. Registration forms are available in the main office at the school.
IHS Wrestling Coach Jeremy Reichert will host the camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
It should be a very intense and informative day as Mark has quite a background and is an excellent clinician, Reichert said.

Mark Munoz-A profile
As a Wrestler Mark Munoz wrestled for Oklahoma State University under legendary coach John Smith at 197 pounds, capturing two Big 12 Championships en route to being a two time All-American and Division I NCAA Champion as a senior. He also won a Junior World silver medal and competed on three Junior World teams. Munoz won two California state high school titles and a national high school championship wrestling out of Vallejo, Calif. On the Senior level in freestyle, he won four All-American honors.
As a Coach
Munoz has been an assistant coach at the University of California Davis for the past five years, working with head coach Lenny Zalesky to build the program.
This is Munoz's second stint at collegiate coaching. He stayed with the Oklahoma State University program he wrestled at for two seasons as an assistant coach. In 2003, he helped guide OSU to its 31st NCAA championship.
As an MMA Fighter
Munoz trains in grappling and jiu-jitsu with former UC Davis wrestler and current MMA Champion Urijah Faber at his Sacramento gym Ultimate Fitness.
Fighting as Mark The Filipino Wrecking Machine Munoz, he has amassed a 4-0 record thus far in the WEC at 185 pounds.
Munoz is considered one of the top wrestlers to ever enter into the sport of MMA. With an unbeaten record thus far, Munoz has transitioned well to the fighting world and he will be looking to continue on his path of dominance.
