The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
9:47 a.m.: A 19-year-old Reno woman was arrested in the 2000 block of St. George Way on suspicion of aiming a firearm at another. A woman there said she was helping her sister gather her belongings when the woman, who was arrested, pointed a gun at them and told them to leave. Bail was set at $2,500.
10:53 a.m.: A 22-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office on a contempt-of-court warrant. Bail was set at $1,000.
11:13 p.m.: A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1800 block of North Edmonds Drive on suspicion of obstructing an officer. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy conducting a check at a casino saw a man who was suspected of selling narcotics. He followed the man, who reportedly suddenly swallowed something from his pocket. The deputy reportedly told the man not to swallow, and the man replied, “It’s only three Percocet.” Bail was set at $300.
10:13 p.m.: Mikel Hafeman, 20, of Carson City was arrested in the 2700 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of felony of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant. According to Hafeman’s arrest report, a deputy learned he was staying at a hotel and knew he had the warrant. Also according to the report, a search of Hafeman’s hotel room revealed a small amount of heroin, multiple hypodermic needs and a spoon with heroin residue. Total bail was set at $6,500.
The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies, violent crimes and DUIs. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people committing crimes.
