Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested on suspicion of felony vehicle burglary

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

MONDAY

• 4:31 a.m.: A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1200 block of Ginger Lane on suspicion of a probation violation. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to the area on a report of a pending fight. The man reportedly was staggering and smelled of alcohol, and he had a no-alcohol clause in his alternative-sentencing agreement. He reportedly had a blooc-alcohol level of 0.027.

SUNDAY

• 8:47 a.m.: Joseph Larson, 24, of Carson City was arrested at Nevada and Proctor streets on suspicion of felony vehicle burglary. According to Larson’s arrest report, a witness said he saw a stranger get out of his neighbor’s car, look around frantically and run east on Telegraph Street. The neighbor said he’d left the car unlocked, and that the only items missing were coins he’d left in the center console area. Another deputy found Larson. Bail was set at $25,000.

• 11:15 p.m.: Daniel Ficarelli, 48, of Carson City was arrested at Carson and Long streets on suspicion of DUI-second offense and improper lane change. According to Ficarelli’s arrest report, he made an unsafe lane change, causing the arresting deputy to nearly hit him. He preliminary breath test reportedly indicated that he had a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent, the legal limit for drivers. Total bail was set at $2,540.

• 4:30 p.m.: A 19-year-old Sparks man was arrested in the 1500 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of suspended registration, as well as driver’s license revoked for DUI. Total bail was set at $1,050.

• 12:37 a.m.: Christian Keith Meyer, 21, of Carson City was arrested at Airport Road and Nye Lane on suspicion of DUI-first offense and open container. According to Meyer’s arrest report, a deputy saw that he had a headlight out and pulled him over. Meyer reportedly showed impairment during field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.091 percent. Total bail was set at $1,100.

• A 48-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested in the 900 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of possession of a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to a casino on a report of a man creating a disturbance. The deputy reported seeing the man push pieces of paper off the counter, toward an employee. The man reportedly was angry that he’d been refused more alcohol, and the deputy asked if he had anyone who could care for him. The deputy reportedly found a spring-blade knife in the man’s pocket. Total bail was set at $2,650.

• 7:02 p.m.: Kelsey Wilkison, 25, of Carson City was arrested at Russell Way and Long Street on suspicion of felony false identification to avoid prosecution and obstructing an officer, as well as on four service warrants — two out of Carson City, one out of Reno and one out of Lyon County. According to Wilkison’s arrest report, a deputy responded to a fast-food restaurant on a report of a woman running away with a tip jar. The deputy reportedly found Wilkison outside a casino, and she gave a false name. The deputy told her he was going to handcuff her, and she reportedly fled. The deputy caught her, and she reportedly said she’d run because of her warrant. Total bail was set at $10,779.

SATURDAY

• 3:08 a.m.: Douglas Ray Hall, 39, of Carson City was arrested in the 2000 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of DUI (prior felony conviction). According to Hall’s arrest report, a deputy saw him sleeping in a car in front of a business with his window partly down. The deputy knocked on the window for several minutes, and Hall eventually awakened. Hall told the deputy he was OK, and the deputy asked him to get out of the car. Hall reportedly had a hard time standing, then provided a breath sample showing he had a blood-alcohol level above 0.08, the legal limit for drivers. The deputy learned Hall had a previous DUI in California in 2005. Bail was set at $20,000.

• 3:17 p.m.: A 24-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on contempt-of-court and battery warrants out of East Fork Township. Total bail was set at $1,240.

• 1:20 a.m.: Drake Gerald Vancleave, 50, of Carson City was arrested at North Carson and Rice streets on suspicion of a felony state probation violation. According to Vancleave’s arrest report, a deputy saw him trying to avoid contact with law enforcement and learned he had a no-alcohol clause with the state Division of Parole & Probation. A breath test reportedly revealed that Vancleave had a blood-alcohol level of 0.071 percent.

• 5:28 a.m.: A 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 700 block of Silver Oak Drive on suspicion of felony domestic battery with substantial bodily harm. Bail was set at $15,000.

• 11:14 p.m.: A 27-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 1300 block of East Long Street on a service warrant out of Carson City. According to the woman’s arrest report, a deputy pulled her over because her tail lights were out. Bail was set at $292.

• 11:27 p.m.: Kyle Clements, 26, a transient, was arrested in the 1800 block of North Edmonds Drive on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, as well as on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant. According to Clements’ arrest report, a deputy approached him at a casino to check his identification because he looked very young. The deputy reportedly found a small pocketknife and a crystalline substance resembling meth on Clements. Total bail was set at $2,870.

• 9:50 p.m.: A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 500 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of obustructing and violation of a suspended sentence. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy stopped a car, and the man yelled that the driver didn’t have to comply with the deputy’s requests. The driver said he didn’t know the man. The deputy learned that the man had a no-alcohol clause as part of his alternative-sentencing agreement, and he reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.142 percent. Total bail was set at $1,300.

• 4:45 p.m.: A 27-year-old transient was arrested at the Carson City Jail on an arrest-of-probationer warrant out of Carson City. Bail was set at $3,000. Also arrested was a 19-year-old Minden man, on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant. Bail was set at $1,000.

• 8:03 p.m.: A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 900 block of East Long Street on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant out of Carson City. Bail was set at $1,000.

friday

• 11:04 p.m.: A 21-year-old man was arrested in the 400 block of East Lee Street on suspicion of drunken pedestrian, obstructing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence. Also arrested was a 32-year-old man, on suspicion of drunken pedestrian and obstructing. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy saw two men walking in the middle of Long Street who were having trouble maintaining their balance. The men reportedly laughed when they were told to stop. The pair then reportedly used a “flanking” maneuver, walking toward the deputy from different directions. The deputy got in his patrol car and locked the door, calling for backup. One of the men reportedly ran when he heard sirenns and told the other to do the same. Total bail was set at $725 for the 21-year-old and $325 for the 32-year-old.

• 10:45 a.m.: A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a petit-larceny warrant. Bail was set at $500.

• 3:52 p.m.: Katie Sardella, 19, of Carson City was arrested in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Sardella’s arrest report, a deputy went to a hotel to follow up on a burglary case and learned Sardella and a companion were staying there. The deputy went to the room and was let in, and he reportedly saw several hypodermic needles, a spoon, a hypodermic device containing a brown substance and a glass pipe, as well as several jewelry items. Total bail was set at $3,500.

• 12:19 p.m.: Terry Ray Kilfian, 40, of Carson City was arrested in the 2200 block of South Roop Street on suspicion of felony child abuse, as well as domestic battery. Total bail was set at $23,000.

• 8:48 a.m.: A 52-year-old Carson City man was arrested at West Winnie Lane and North Ormsby Boulevard on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy received a report of him sleeping on the sidewalk. The man reportedly smelled strongly of alcohol and had a no-drinking clause in his alternative-sentencing report. Bail was set at $3,000.

THURSDAY

• 4:04 a.m.: A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested at Fairview and Steamboat drives on suspicion of a probation violation. According to the man’s arrest report, a sergeant stopped him as he was riding his bicycle in the dark, carrying a 12-pack of beer. He reportedly smelled of alcohol and had a no-alcohol clause as part of his alternative-sentencing agreement. Total bail was set at $6,000.

• 8:03 a.m.: A 36-year-old Reno man was arrested in the 3000 block of North Roop Street on a failure-to-appear warrant. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy pulled him over for having an expired license plate, then learned of the warrant. Bail was set at $955.

• 1:05 a.m.: A 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a criminal-contempt warrant out of Sparks. Bail was set at $1,500.

WEDNESDAY

• 7:39 p.m.: Jason Way, 35, of Carson City was arrested in the 2700 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of felony violation of the Controlled Substances Act. According to Way’s arrest report, he told a woman he wanted to buy 1.75 grams of methamphetamine for $70, and she arranged for a meeting. The deputy showed up, and Way reportedly had more than $70 on him. Bail was set at $10,000.

• 5:55 p.m.: A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a warrant out of Reno. Bail was set at $750.

• 12:25 p.m.: A 32-year-old Fallon man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant. Bail was set at $3,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies, violent crimes and DUIs.
