Blockbuster on East William Street in Carson City will close within three weeks, the Carson Mall’s Home Treasures in about six weeks. Floyd Miller, manager of Blockbuster at 1442 E. William St., said during the going-out-of-business sale the local outlet of the nationwide movie sale and rental chain has sold 15,000 movies and has about 10,000 more in stock. The closure is part of a pullback nationwide, he said, with 350 shuttering. That amounts to roughly 40 percent closing down, he said.
