Medication disposal clinic is Saturday
Smith’s Food & Drug and the Drug Enforcement Administration will hold a disposal clinic for expired, unused and unwanted prescription medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dayton and Carson City Smith’s locations, 599 E. William St. and 2200 Highway 50 E. in Dayton.
Personal information may be blacked out on prescription bottles or medications may be emptied from the bottles into bins provided at collection areas.

Support group available for the sight-impaired
The Sight Impaired Support Group meets at 10:30 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the ceramics room at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane.

‘Know Your Numbers’ health seminar set
Dr. Susan O’Leary will present “Know Your Numbers” from 4-5 p.m. May 20 at Carson Tahoe Cardiology, 2133 S Ave. in South Lake Tahoe.

Veterans outreach set to review benefits
The Nevada Office of Veterans Services Veterans Outreach ROVER Program will visit the Douglas County Senior Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 and the Virginia City Senior Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 2.
Participants will be able to meet with a Veterans Service Officer to learn about benefits and services. Veterans are advised to bring a copy of the DD-214 discharge document or current VA paperwork. If the claim involves dependents, veterans are asked to bring marriage or birth certificates and Social Security numbers of dependents.

Gardens sought for annual tour
The Carson City Historical Society is seeking noteworthy gardens to feature in their garden and house tour to be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. June 22.
The tour will take place exclusively in the west historical district of Carson City.
Tickets are $10 and $8 for Society members and will be available at Due Sorella and the Greenhouse Garden Center.
