Officer resigns after allegedly exposing self to deputy

Editor’s note: The name of the sergeant allegedly involved was corrected from Wednesday’s print edition. A former sergeant with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office allegedly exposed himself to a female deputy in February before resigning on April 13. Kenneth G. Steel allegedly exposed himself to a female deputy on Feb. 15 and was immediately placed on administrative leave, Sheriff Ken Furlong said. “An internal affairs and criminal investigations were immediately requested,” Furlong said.
