$1K reward offered in Reno bank robbery

RENO — Reno police and the FBI are continuing to investigate a bank robbery that took place this week at a Nevada State Bank branch southwest of downtown.

Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the robber, who walked away from the bank at Lakeside and Moana Lane on Tuesday with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a 40- to 50-year-old white male, between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet tall with a thin build.

Police say he was wearing a black jacket, a straw hat and sunglasses when he entered the bank. He didn’t show a weapon but demanded money. He last was seen walking north from the bank.

Anyone with information is asked to call Reno police at 775-334-2115 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
