The Nugget in Sparks is hosting the 156th annual National Grange Convention from Nov. 15-19, prominently participating in this anticipated event are High Desert Grange youth showing off their knowledge and skills at the Voices of the Grange/Grange Speaks event.

Developed by Katie Squire of the California State Grange, Voices of the Grange/Grange Speaks features youth from across the nation sharing their skills and expertise in a half-hour venue similar to a TED talk. Programs within the National Grange focus on the family, especially youth, in developing their potential through dynamic programs and experiences that educate, engage and enrich lives.

The Grange is known for its commitment to community involvement providing leadership, financial and organizational strength, and the ability to make a difference in the lives of the people it touches.

National Grange convention organizers have spent the past year researching, refining and relating their extensive agenda and activities. Executive officers, legislative analysts, communications fellows, membership coordinators and more all have opportunities to share what they have learned and teach those whose interests intersect with theirs.

Ever mindful of the future of the Grange and the education of its children, an impressive list of workshops, “meet and greets,” officers meetings, off-site activities, and opportunities to work side-by-side with National officers is available to all youth convention attendees.
