This month’s Pioneer Academy’s senior spotlight is on Madelyn Peachay. She is one of Pioneer Academy’s high achieving students, that found success despite many challenges, including the pandemic which hit during her ninth grade year.

Peachay said the biggest obstacle she had to overcome was lack of motivation to get things done, sometimes to just show up was a challenge. But with the unfailing support of her mom, encouragement from her friends and the life balance made possible through attending school online, she created strategies that helped her find the motivation she needed to thrive.

Along with maintaining a high level of academic success in honors and AP classes, Peachay loves to go and hang out and socialize with friends, go shopping, draw and play video games.

Attending Pioneer Academy has allowed her focus on her communication and social skills, not to mention always striving to be self-aware and working toward bettering herself and ultimately enabling her to achieve her goals and dreams. Looking forward, Peachay’s dream is to pursue college next fall with the plan of focusing her studies to become a dental hygienist.

Pioneer faculty and staff are proud of what she has accomplished as one of their top online students, and they look forward to launching her onto the path toward her future dreams and goals.
