Prep / JC Roundup: Reid, Carter enjoy big days on track

SPARKS — Corey Reid won the high jump and took second in the 400 to lead Carson High to a fifth-place finish at the annual Reed Sparks Rotary Invitational during the weekend at Reed High School. Reid won the high jump at 6-2 and clocked a 50.1 in the 400. He was also 12th in the 110 high hurdles at 17.61. Nathan Hazard was fifth in the discus at 138 feet, while Dexter Cummings was seventh in the 800. Dakota Baker was fourth in the 300 hurdles at 43.2. The CHS boys were second in the 3200 relay in 8:33.39 …
