The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
5:36 p.m.: A 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at Walmart on Market Street on suspicion of petit larceny and possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription. According to the woman’s arrest report, employees reported seeing her leave the store with a shopping cart full of items without paying. When she was arrested, a deputy reportedly found a bottle of Lorazepam — an anti-anxiety medication — in her purse that were prescribed to someone else. Total bail was set at $2,750.
5:27 p.m.: A 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 500 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of petit larceny. According to the woman’s arrest report, a loss-prevention agent at Kohl’s reported that she’d stolen several pieces of jewelry. The woman reportedly was wearing a badge indicating that she was an employee at a local casino. The arresting deputy reportedly approached the woman at the casino where she works, and she first denied the thefts, then begged for mercy and said she didn’t want to lose her job. Bail was set at $250.
8:16 a.m.: A 43-year-old transient was arrested at Division Street and Pine View Way on suspicion of battery. Bail was set at $1,000.
4:10 p.m.: Sunshine Dawn Workman, 38, of Gardnerville was arrested at the Carson City Jail on two felony warrants, one out of Carson City and the other out of Douglas County. Total bail was set at $17,500.
The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies, violent crimes and DUIs.
