Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested on suspicion of DUI-alcohol and drugs

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

THURSDAY

4:48 p.m.: Jeremy Joel Ellis, 26, of Carson City was arrested at Airport Road and Desatoya Drive on suspicion of DUI-alcohol and drugs, failure to obey a traffic-control device, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and violation of pretrial supervision. According to Ellis’ arrest report, a deputy saw him fail to stop at a stop sign and pulled him over. Ellis reportedly had red, watery eyes, and the deputy could smell a small odor of marijuana coming from his vehicle. A drug-sniffing dog was used, and a deputy reportedly found marijuana in the vehicle. Ellis reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.122. Total bail was set at $4,640.

11:41 p.m.: A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested at Curry and Rhodes streets on a contempt-of-court warrant, as well as on suspicion of expired plates and no insurance. Total bail was set at $1,625.

11:42 p.m.: A 32-year-old Reno man was arrested at William Street and Rand Avenue on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant out of Henderson Township. Bail was set at $2,000.

11:28 p.m.: A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1400 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy saw three men walking between areas high in crime and drug trafficking. He checked the men’s IDs and learned one of them was on alternative sentencing and was barred from drinking. The man reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.02 percent. Bail was set at $1,000.

1:45 p.m.: A 29-year-old Dayton man was arrested at Carson and John streets on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance, as well as on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy pulled him over because his vehicle’s left brake light wasn’t working. Total bail was set at $2,427.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies, violent crimes and DUIs. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
