Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested on felony drug count

Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

MONDAY

• 9:50 a.m.: A 19-year-old Dayton man was arrested at Silver Sage Drive and Sonoma Street on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant out of Carson City. Bail was set at $3,000.

• 12:58 a.m.: A 22-year-old Indian Hills man was arrested in the 100 block of Tybo Circle on suspicion of disorderly conduct. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy responded to a report of an intoxicated person who was yelling obscenities. He reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.174 percent. Bail was set at $150.

SUNDAY

• 12:22 a.m.: Gilbert Ortiz, 32, of Carson City was arrested in the 3000 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of a felony probation violation and an open container of alcohol. According to Ortiz’s arrest report, a deputy stopped him after he failed to drive forward once a traffic light turned green. He reportedly had a no-alcohol clause as part of a probation agreement and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.099 percent. No bail was set on the felony count.

• 10:53 p.m.: Malachai Noe Olivo, 27, of Antioch, Calif., was arrested in the 3300 block of U.S. Highway 50 East on suspicion of DUI-first offense and driving without a valid license. According to Olivo’s arrest report, a deputy saw him drive through a drainage ditch and stall in front of a store. He reportedly failed field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent. Bail was set at $1,100.

• 10:09 p.m.: A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 600 block of South Roop Street on suspicion of a probation violation. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy responded to a report of a dispute and the man had a blood-alcohol level of 0.139 percent, in violation of his probation. Bail was set at $3,000.

• 5:03 p.m.: Paul Pasillas, 55, of Carson City was arrested in the 2700 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of DUI-first offense, driving with a suspended driver’s license, suspended registration and no proof of insurance, as well as well as on a failure-to-appear warrant out of Reno. According to Pasillas’ arrest report, a deputy conducted a random registration check while on patrol and learned Pasillas’ license was suspended. Pasillas reportedly had a “moderate” smell of alcohol on his breath and had a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent. Total bail was set at $3,115.

• 3:37 p.m.: A 45-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at Roop and Dan streets on suspicion of suspended registration and driving with a suspended driver’s license, as well as on two failure-to-appear/traffic warrants — one out of Carson City and one out of Reno. Total bail was set at $1,931.

• 12:10 p.m.: A 47-year-old Dayton man was arrested in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on a contempt-of-court warrant out of Carson City. Bail was set at $267.

SATURDAY

• 5:36 p.m.: A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1700 block of North Roop Street on suspicion of felony domestic battery by strangulation and violation of a probation hold. Total bail was set at $13,000.

• 6:02 p.m.: Richard Brumette, 57, a transient, was arrested in the 200 block of Jeanell Drive on suspicion of felony indecent exposure and disorderly conduct. According to Brumette’s arrest report, a deputy responded to a report of a man yelling profanities at passing cars. He reportedly “mooned” some people. Total bail was set at $5,192.

• 5:49 p.m.: Lisa Marie Allen, 44, of Carson City was arrested in the 1500 block of Rand Avenue on suspicion of DUI-first offense, malicious damage to private property and no proof of insurance. According to Allen’s arrest report, a deputy responded to a report of a crash involving an injury and learned Allen had been driving one of the vehicles. She reportedly failed field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent. Total bail was set at $2,100.

• 8:53 a.m.: A 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested at North Edmonds and Fairview drives on a failure-to-appear/traffic warrant out of Carson City. Bail was set at $740.

• 12:16 a.m.: Timothy Farnham, 41, of Carson City was arrested at Anderson and Musser streets on suspicion of DUI-second offense, driving with a suspended driver’s license and disobedience of a traffic-control device. According to Farnham’s arrest report, a deputy saw him run a red light, and he performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He reportedly agreed to take a blood test, then refused. Total bail was set at $3,040.

FRIDAY

• 3:10 p.m.: A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny and two counts of obtaining money under false pretenses. According to the man’s arrest report, he tried to fraudulently return items at Walmart on Market Street. Total bail was set at $750.

• 4:35 p.m.: A 53-year-old transient was arrested in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of disorderly conduct. According to the man’s arrest report, he was screaming at a hotel that he couldn’t get a job and no one would help him. He reportedly had a 0.16 blood-alcohol level. Bail was set at $150.

• 2 p.m.: A 43-year-old Reno man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant out of Carson City. Bail was set at $3,000.

• 2:30 p.m.: A 36-year-old Carson City man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a contempt-of-court warrant out of Carson City.

• 8:22 p.m.: A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3400 block of U.S. Highway 50 East on suspicion of open and gross lewdness. According to the man’s arrest report, a woman at a bar said he’d grabbed her breasts. Bail was set at $2,500.

• 10:27 p.m.: A 44-year-old transient was arrested in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of petit larceny and possession of stolen property. According to the man’s arrest report, he took a cordless drill from a store without paying. Total bail was set at $1,250.

• 9:45 a.m.: Geoffrey Paul Larson, 22, of Carson City was arrested at Carmine Street and Sneddon Way on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant out of Carson City. Also arrested was a 39-year-old Carson City man, on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the men’s arrest reports, a deputy pulled Larson. Larson then granted the officer permission to search the vehicle for drugs. The deputy reportedly found a small bag containing one Aprolazapam pill, a prescription drug, as well as a meth pipe and tinfoil covered in a black substance consistent with heroin. Total bail was set at $8,000 for Larson and $1,000 for the other man.

• 10:27 p.m.: Stephanie Collins, 41, a transient, was arrested in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of a credit card without the owner’s permission, as well as possession of stolen property, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Collins’ arrest report, a deputy found a wallet containing someone else’s driver’s license and credit cards in her purse. Total bail was set at $5,100.

• 7:05 p.m.: Susan Clements, 52, of Gardnerville was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a felony-uttering-a-forged-instrument warrant out of Carson City. Bail was set at $7,500.

THURSDAY

• 7:07 p.m.: Raymond Cody Ward, 25, of Carson City was arrested in the 1900 block of East William Street on suspicion of felony possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, as well as on a warrant out of Carson City. According to Ward’s arrest report, a deputy stopped him and learned about the warrant, then found six hydrocodone pills and one hydromorphone pill in his pocket and suboxone in his backpack. Total bail was set at $3,500.
