Summer is here, and so are watering restrictions

Carson City’s Public Works Department reminds residents that summer is here, and water-use rates go up. That increases the need to combat any wasting of water. Water restrictions began June 1 in Carson City and run through Sept. 30. The schedule for lawns and landscaping allows watering three days per week based on the final digit of a resident’s address. People living at odd-numbered address may water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; their even-numbered counterparts are authorized to water on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
