Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested for alleged DUI, child endangerment

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent unless proved guilty in court:

THURSDAY

4:28 p.m.: Nathaniel Raymond Partlow, 33, was arrested in the 1000 block of Armory Lane on a felony burglary warrant. Bail was set at $15,000.

8:55 p.m.: Eric Nathan Simmons of Carson City was arrested in the 4200 block of Ferguson Ranch Road on suspicion of sex offender failure to register. According to his arrest report, a deputy went to a home and asked Simmons if he was living at the address at which he was registered, and he said he wasn’t. He reportedly said he wasn’t aware he was required to notify law enforcement about any move within 48 hours. Bail was set at $5,000.

10:16 p.m.: George Joseph Gillespie, 29, of Carson City was arrested in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road on a felony fraudulent-use-of-a-credit-card warrant, as well as a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant. Bail was set at $6,000.

11:09 p.m.: Thomas Arvid Getchell, 48, of Carson City was arrested at Division and John streets on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a prescription drug without a prescription, obstructing a peace officer and riding a bicycle on the wrong side of the road. A deputy reported seeing Getchell’s riding south on a bicycle in a northbound lane. According to Getchell’s arrest report, when he was pulled over, he yelled at the deputy, flung his glove off and reached into his waistband as he got off his bike. Other deputies arrived and searched Thomas, reportedly finding bottles of hydrocodone and Lorazepam. Total bail was set at $5,325.

8:14 p.m.: Philip Fischer, 45, of Dayton was arrested at Fifth and Roop streets on suspicion of DUI-first offense and hit-and-run. Bail was set at $1,500.

1:50 p.m.: A 39-year-old Dayton man was arrested at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office on a battery warrant. Bail was set at $500.

10 a.m.: A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant. Bail was set at $212.

8:18 a.m.: A 23-year-old South Lake Tahoe man was arrested at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office on a battery warrant. Bail was set at $500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies, violent crimes and DUIs. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900. FRIDAY

12:24 a.m.: William Wilford Astor, 34, of Wadsworth was arrested in the 4000 block of Pheasant Drive on suspicion of DUI-first offense, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and child endangerment. A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious van parked in an area with loud music playing. According to Astor’s arrest report, he smelled of alcohol and stumbled as he got out of the van, and the deputy found a bag of marijuana in his pocket. Bail was set at $4,100.

4 a.m.: A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested at Saliman Road and Como Street on suspicion of disorderly conduct and drunken pedestrian. Bail was set at $190.

3:48 a.m.: A transient was arrested in the 1400 block of Rand Avenue on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,000. Also arrested was a 28-year-old Carson City man, on suspicion of possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. Bail was set at $3,100. A deputy was dispatched to the area on a report of two intoxicated men banging on a resident’s window. According to their arrest reports, each of the men was carrying marijuana, and one had a baseball-size rock and brass knuckles.
