Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested after allegedly carrying weapons

Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

TUESDAY

• 7 p.m.: A 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested at Sherman and Dori ways on suspicion of ex-felon failure to register, carrying a concealed weapon and headlight required on bicycle. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy saw him riding in the dark without a headline, pulled him over and found a pocket knife on the man’s belt and a plastic BB gun pistol in his front pocket. The deputy reportedly asked where the man was living and learned it wasn’t where the man was registered. Another deputy then found a dagger in the man’s back pocket. Bail was set at $2,675.

• 6:42 p.m.: A 34-year-old transient was arrested at the Carson City Jail on suspicion of ex-felon failure to register and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as on a domestic-battery warrant. According to his arrest report, a call 911 came from the man’s home, but the caller hung up, and calls back to the number weren’t answered. When a deputy arrived, the man reportedly was lying on the floor, sweating profusely and shaking uncontrollably. He denied calling 911 at first, then acknowledged he’d done so. He told the deputy someone was chasing him, then refused to answer any further questions. Dispatchers advised that he had the warrant, and he reportedly acknowledged that he’d used methamphetamine recently and wasn’t sure if anyone was chasing him, or if he was hallucinating. At the Carson City Jail, a small glass meth pipe reportedly was found in his jeans pocket. Bail was set at $4,300.

• 4:49 p.m.: A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3300 block of Imperial Way on contempt-of-court and failure-to-appear warrants. Bail was set at $712.

• 4:30 p.m.: A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of disorderly conduct. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy was dispatched on a report of an intoxicated male passed out in a restaurant’s bathroom. After he was taken to jail, he reportedly registered a 0.357 blood-alcohol level. Bail was set at $150.
