Carson City Sheriff's Log: Man arrested on suspicion of ex-felon in possession of firearm

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


4:08 p.m.: A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1400 block of Rand Avenue on suspicion of first-degree domestic battery and contempt of court. Total bail was set at $3,500.

3:38 a.m.: A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1100 block of East William Street on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy saw him parked in the parking lot of Mills Park while the park was closed. The man reportedly had been drinking, in violation of his alternative-sentencing agreement. Bail was set at $1,000.

1:22 a.m.: A 42-year-old transient was arrested at Lakewood Hill on an arrest-of-probationer warrant. Bail was set at $3,000.


10:30 p.m.: Jonathan Lawrence Dunn-Canas, 21, of Sacramento was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a warrant out of Lyon County for a home invasion. Bail was set at $25,000.

6 p.m.: A 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant. Bail was set at $1,000.

9:11 p.m.: A 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3700 block of U.S. Highway 50 East on suspicion of ex-felon in possession of a firearm. Bail was set at $20,000.

7:26 p.m.: Kevin Duain Harward, 50, of Carson City was arrested in the 900 block of Woodside Drive on a felony failure-to-appear warrant and a contempt-of-court warrant, as well as on a parole-and-probation hold. According to Harward’s arrest report, law enforcement got an anonymous tip about Harward’s presence, and dispatchers confirmed the warrants. No bail was set on the felony counts.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies, violent crimes and DUIs.
