Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man held without bail after allegedly attempting to flee

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
Arron Hernandez, 20, of Carson City was arrested at 12:15 a.m. after deputies responded to reports of a dispute between a father and a son. He was arrested on warrants charging violation of suspended sentence conditions and contempt of court. During booking, three pills reportedly were found in one of his pockets. Total bail was set at $6,000.
Hector Cervantes, 19, of Carson City was arrested after a 12:31 a.m. incident in the 2800 block of Century Way. Deputies were called because of a report of people in front of a residence yelling at each other. The arrest report says Cervantes sped away in his vehicle after deputies showed up. When the vehicle stopped, the driver exited and fled on foot. He was arrested a short time later. According to the arrest report, he was too drunk to complete sobriety tests. He was charged with DUI-first offense and two felony counts of possessing cocaine and marijuana after two baggies were found on his person, reckless driving, a minor consuming alcohol and parole violation, a third felony count. He was ordered held without bail.
Abram Sassenberg, 33, and Lisa Cooney, 32, of Pollock Pines, Calif., were arrested on suspicion of felony possession of controlled substances at 10:26 a.m. following a traffic stop at Mallory Way and Roop Street. A background check revealed he had a felony warrant from California and didn't have a valid license. A search of the vehicle revealed paraphernalia and methamphetamine. He faces felony charges as a fugitive and for possession of the drugs, and a misdemeanor paraphernalia charge. She faces a felony possession charge and a misdemeanor paraphernalia charge. He was held without bail. Her bail was set at $3.500.

A 25-year-old Carson landscaper was arrested at 1:25 p.m. at Stewart and Eighth streets on a traffic warrant. Bail was set at $215 cash.
A 27-year-old factory worker was jailed at 1:42 p.m. on a contempt warrant after his arrest at an apartment in the 800 block of North Carson Street. He was held in lieu of $2,500 bail.
A 26-year-old Mound House water driller was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense in the 500 block of North Carson Street. At 12:05 a.m., security at the Carson Nugget reportedly found him passed out in the vehicle. Bail was set at $1,000.
A 21-year-old Dayton Valley man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense following a 2:05 a.m. traffic stop at Telegraph and Plaza streets. The deputy said the vehicle drove right past him outside the Blue Bull Bar at a high speed. He yelled at the driver to stop, and the driver complied. The driver failed the field sobriety test and was charged with speeding as well as DUI. Total bail was set at $1,045.
A 64-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after a woman in a Roop Street residence called deputies at 4:36 a.m. saying an unknown person was pounding on her door. The arrest report says he was extremely intoxicated and refused to cooperate with deputies, who said they were initially trying to get him to his home. Bail was set at $150.
A 43-year-old Carson City woman was booked at 7:52 a.m. on a warrant charging she violated alternative-sentencing conditions. Bail was set at $3,000.
Steven Calcaterra, 34, was taken into custody at a home in the 1400 block of Palo Verde Drive on a warrant charging him with uttering a false instrument. Bail was set at $10,000 on the felony count.
A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor counts of possessing drug paraphernalia and failure to register as an ex-felon after deputies, serving him with a temporary protective order at 8:19 a.m., reportedly discovered he has three prior felonies and wasn't living where he claimed to be. A search of his person discovered a glass meth pipe. Bail was set at $1,150.
An 18-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor warrant charging contempt of court at 11:15 a.m. in the 100 block of South Carson Meadows. Bail was set at $500 cash.
A 21-year-old Carson woman was jailed at 11:31 a.m. on a warrant charging violation of a suspended sentence. Bail was set at $3,000 cash.
Two California women, ages 26 and 50, were arrested on suspicion of petit larceny at Raley's on South Carson Street at 12:54 p.m. The 50-year-old from Sacramento also was charged as a fugitive from justice out of Texas and ordered held in lieu of $500,000 bail. The 26-year-old's bail was set at $250.
A 21-year-old North Carolina man was arrested on suspicion of multiple counts including DUI-first offense and hit-and-run at 2:52 p.m. Deputies were informed of a hit-and-run involving a black Mustang with North Carolina plates. The arrest report says the driver had watery red eyes and failed the field sobriety test. He was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident and no proof of insurance. Total bail was set $2,600.
A 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 5:35 p.m. at an apartment in the 1100 block of East William Street following a report of suspicious activity. He was charged with failure to register as an ex-felon and held on a warrant charging violation of his suspended sentence conditions. Total bail was set at $3,150.
A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of battery after his 6:52 p.m. arrest in the 400 block of Chateau Drive. He is accused of attacking another resident of a group home for mentally challenged people. Bail was set at $1,000.
A 40-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny following a 7:15 a.m. arrest based on videotaped evidence at Smith's. Bail was set at $250.
Mark Lobretto, 32, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony heroin possession after reportedly confessing to deputies during a 5:15 p.m. field investigation near Village and Pheasant drives that he had outstanding warrants for petit larceny and contempt of court. A search reportedly turned up a small amount of heroin, along with a spoon. He was held in lieu of $4,634 bail on the heroin and paraphernalia counts and the two warrants.
Derek Melino, 27, was arrested on drug counts after an 8:47 p.m. traffic stop at Long and Nevada streets. The arrest report states he appeared very nervous and admitted having a small amount of marijuana in the glove box. A search also reportedly revealed a pipe, a used hypodermic needle containing methamphetamine and other paraphernalia. He was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, as well as possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Bail was set a $4,100.
