Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Woman arrested on suspicion of DUI, accident hit and run

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 12:02 a.m., a 39-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-alcohol and accident hit and run after deputies responded to reports of a traffic accident near the 900 block of Minnesota Street. Bail was set at $1,500.

At 7:12 p.m., Michelle Scott, 47, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation violation after deputies initiated a consensual stop near the 1500 block of Rand Avenue. No bail was set.

SATURDAY

At 8:46 p.m., Edward Saavedra, 44, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony false ID to avoid prosecution, ex-felon failed to register, no valid driver's license, no current proof of insurance, failure to appear warrant and contempt of court after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Silver Sage Street and Sean Drive. At the same incident, Tyler Stump-Jeffers, 22, of Gardnerville, was arrested on suspicion of felony false ID to avoid prosecution, obstructing and contempt of court. Bail for Saavedra was set at $7,760 and bail for Stump-Jeffers was set at $8,300.

SUNDAY

At 1:09 a.m., a 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject at the Carson Street Dotty's Casino. Bail was set at $150.

At 5:36 p.m., a 23-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of graffiti after deputies responded to reports of a female defacing a vehicle near the 1800 block of William Street. Bail was set at $500.

At 4:40 p.m., a Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery and obstruction after deputies responded to reports of a domestic issue near the 1000 block of Woodside Drive. Bail was set at $3,300.

MONDAY

At 1:15 a.m., a 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer and disturbing the peace after deputies responded to reports of a domestic dispute at the Carson Street Back on Track Motel. Bail was set at $400.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes.
