Man brandishing knives arrested on suspicion of failure to register as a sex offender says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

At 12:06 p.m., a 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of a child custody dispute near the 1100 block of Beverly Drive. Bail was set at $855.

At 4:01 p.m., a 62-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of sex offender failed to register after deputies responded to reports of a man brandishing knives near the 400 block of Hot Springs Road. Bail was set at $150.

At 10:54 p.m., Kimberly Wager, 35, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance warrant after deputies responded to reports of a keep the peace call near the 1300 block of Long Street. No bail was set.

At 2:08 a.m., a 29-year-old Yerington man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense and failure to maintain a travel lane after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Carson River Road and 5th Street. Bail was set at $2,540.

At 7:23 a.m., a 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 1900 block of H Street. Bail was set at $10,000.

At 8:36 p.m., JD Powers, 45, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription and violation of a suspended sentence after deputies responded to a call at the Carson Street Ross. Bail was set at $8,000.

At 9:27 p.m., a 60-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, no valid driver's license and improper lane change after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Stewart and Anderson. Bail was set at $1,140.

At 10:49 p.m., Theresa Ward, 55, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies conducted a business check at the William Street Dotty's Casino. Bail was set at $3,500.

SUNDAY

At 1:04 p.m., a 46-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies responded to reports of a domestic dispute near the 2600 block of Panamint Road. Bail was set at $3,000.

MONDAY

At 1:23 a.m., a 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court, failure to pay fine and two counts of failure to appear after deputies initiated a traffic stop near College Parkway and Sherman Road. Bail was set at $2,970.
