C St. The long tradition of newspaper publishing on the Comstock is marked by the early typeslingers who later became noted journalists such as Mark Twain, Dan DeQuille, Alf Doten, Wells Drury, Joe Goodman, Denis McCarthy, Fred Hart, Alf Chartz, Arthur McEwen, Lyin’ Jim Townsend and Sam Davis.
