Nevada boosters to have planning meeting Aug. 19

Learn more about: High School Football

The new school year has begun for the University of Nevada Alumni Association including local activities being planned by the locals chapters.

The Fallon chapter met earlier this month to plan activities for the fall semester, and members and friends of the university will meet again on Tuesday, Aug. 19, to discuss activities for the football season.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. (not 6 p.m.) at Pizza Barn.

The chapter would like to charter a bus to take Wolf Pack, Boise State and other football fans to the Homecoming game on Oct. 4 in Reno. The chapter has chartered at least one bus each year to a university football game. In May the Fallon chapter took a bus to a Nevada softball game to support Fallon player Sara Parson in her final softball game of her career.

With the first game nearing on Aug. 30, the chapter is looking at plans to have members gather at a tailgate lunch hosted by the university’s alumni association.
