Retired Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert E. Rose was seriously injured this morning in a single vehicle rollover while on his way to Fallon to conduct Drug Court.
Rose, 73, suffered rib and sternum injuries, but they are not life-threatening, according to multiple sources. He is under observation at Banner Churchill Community Hospital in Fallon.
The accident happened shortly after 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and York Lane. The Nevada Highway Patrol, which is now in charge of the accident investigation, said Rose was eastbound and apparently lost control of his Nissan Pathfinder.
