Did you feel that? Another quake hits southeast of Carson City

A magnitude-2.8 earthquake rumbled near Carson City this morning, during commute time for many residents.

The quake’s epicenter was about 4.5 miles south-southeast of Carson City and 9.5 miles northeast of Genoa, according to the Nevada Seismological Laboratory.

The quake was one of 14 measuring magnitude-1 or higher that have been recorded in the Carson City area in the past two weeks, according to the Seismological Laboratory. Most have been just southeast of Prison Hill. For more information, go to .
