A 45-year-old Fallon man has been listed as a missing person, reports the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office.

In a media release, the CCSO said on Monday Howard Shell’s vehicle was located Friday stuck in the sand near Powerline Road southwest of Fallon. He was last seen Saturday by a horseback rider.

When the rider asked Shell if he needed help, the Fallon man said he did not.

The CCSOhas searched the area for several days and the area has been flown by the CCSO’s search and rescue pilot. When last seen, the CCSO said Shell was thought to have been traveling north along a canal.

Shell is described as a white male, about 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighing over 200 pounds.

If anyone locates Shell, contact the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office at 775-423-3116.
