More than $200,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant money was targeted for sidewalk and related improvements in Carson City by the Board of Supervisors Thursday. The project will install Americans with Disabilities Act accessible curb ramps and replace damaged sidewalks in a low-to-moderate income neighborhood south of 5th Street between Roop Street and Saliman Road. Board members favored the $200,732 decision because they were told it can yield, via matching funds, about $800,000 more.
