An autopsy confirmed the death of a Churchill County Jail inmate as a suicide. Sheriff Ben Trotter said Billey Stanberry’s death was ruled suicide by hanging after deputies discovered the Fallon resident’s body at about 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Stanberry was found hanging from the cell bars as his cellmate slept. Trotter said the investigation is still open, although the CCSO is waiting for a toxicology report.
