Aces fall 3-1 in pitcher’s duel

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A contest between two of the biggest offensive producers in the Pacific Coast League resulted in a pitcher’s duel Monday night, with the Reno Aces falling 3-1 to the Sacramento River Cats at Raley Field.

Dan Straily struggled in the first inning for Sacramento, walking three Aces batters. Reno was unable to capitalize on the walks, and did not push across any runs in the frame.
