Aces nab third straight win

The Aces posted a four-run first inning on Thursday night, en route to a 6-1 victory in the series opener over the Tacoma Rainiers at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Wash. The first six Reno hitters reached base including a two-run double by Mike Jacobs and an RBI double by Brad Snyder off Tacoma starter Brandon Maurer. After hitting Alfredo Marte with a pitch, Maurer was removed from the game with what was later announced as stomach issues. His replacement, Forrest Snow, recorded a quick first out, before issuing a bases loaded walk to Tyler Bortnick to bring Reno’s run total …
