Reno’s Davidson named MVP of Futures Game

Reno Aces third baseman Matt Davidson was named the Most Valuable Player of the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game held at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, on Sunday afternoon. The slugger blasted a two-run home run off Athletics’ right hander Michael Ynoa in the fourth inning to propel the U.S. team to a 3-2 advantage over the World Team. Team USA tacked on an insurance run in the eighth for a 4-2 win, the squad’s fourth-straight Futures Game victory.
