Fallon woman pleads guilty

A 21-year-old Fallon woman pleaded guilty last week in District Court for stabbing her stepfather on Oct. 14. Jessica Leann Hitchcock entered the plea to one count of battery with a deadly weapon. She faces two to 10 years in prison although she is eligible for probation. According to Churchill County Chief Deputy District Attorney Lane Mills, Hitchcock stabbed Ronald Austin, 51, with a blade approximately 7-8 inches long during a dispute at the Mobile Acres Mobile Home Park.
