The Ormsby Sportsmen’s Association (OSA) of Carson City, a local organization for hunting and fishing enthusiasts, will hold the first of a series of four monthly, summer picnics on Tuesday, June 19.

The sportsmen’s picnics are held at Mills Park on the third Tuesday of the month during the months of June, July, August and September.

All picnics begin at 5:30 p.m., last until dark and feature barbecued steak, hamburgers and hotdogs.

Anyone attending is requested to bring a pot-luck salad or dessert to share with others.

In October, the sportsmen’s club will revert back to monthly indoor meetings at the Carson Nugget Convention Center. Those meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month.

All OSA meetings, functions and activities are family-oriented, free of charge and open to all club members and to anyone else who is interested in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, etc.
