The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
Two women, one from Dayton and one from Carson City, were arrested on suspicion of petty larceny charges at 10:59 p.m. after Walmart security charged they were trying to leave without paying for the goods in their cart. Each was held in lieu of $250 bail.
At 10:13 p.m., a 19-year-old Dayton man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous weapon, brass knuckles, a gross misdemeanor, and a marijuana pipe. He was arrested in the 1500 block of Humboldt following a field investigation of what the arrest report says is a known gang member in Lyon County. Bail was set at $3,500.
At 10:56 p.m., Robert Key, 39, was arrested at Kohl’s after a caller complained an intoxicated man was in the fitting room with his seven-year-old daughter. The child’s biological mother was called and picked up the little girl. She told deputies Key was under a court order to remain sober while he had custody of his daughter. He was arrested on suspicion of felony child neglect and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Bail on the felony count is $40,000.
At 9:45 p.m., deputies were called to a residential facility on Carriage Crest for a woman yelling and arguing at the staff. According to the arrest report, staff dealt with her for more than an hour, finally hitting staff members. Deputies arrested her on suspicion of battery. Bail was set at $1,000.
At 11:10 p.m., a 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of failure to register as an ex-felon after a traffic stop at Roop and Long streets. A background check revealed the information. Bail was set at $150.
