A company that has contacted local businesses about providing plaques to winners of the LVN’s recent Best of Fallon contest is not endorsed by the newspaper. At least two businesses have reported receiving emails and faxes from American Registry-Recognizing Excellence in Business offering to provide handcrafted special edition wall plaques commemorating their awards. The cost of the plaques is listed at $159. “The LVN does not endorse this company nor can guarantee its validity,” said LVN General Manager/Editor Steve Ranson.
