Saturday will mark the conclusion of the 13th annual Keep Fallon Green project.
The city’s week-long project traditionally collects large items such as appliances and furniture on regular pick-up days, capped by a community-wide cleanup by volunteers.
Volunteers will meet on Saturday at 9 a.m. in the courtyard behind City Hall and then set out to canvas the community with lists of scheduled pick-up sites in what amounts to a city-wide spring cleaning, including washing machines, dishwashers, broken bunk beds and even cars.
Service club, student groups and residents in general all come together to assist in the effort. Volunteers are provided with refreshments before and after the day’s work.
For information or to schedule a visit from volunteers on Saturday, call City Administrative Assistant Valerie Swirczek at 775-423-3040.
