The students from the Churchill County High School Theatre One class will present “The Thirteen Ghosts of Gimme Mine” by Amy Green at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the CCHS Theatre.
The story centers on playing tricks on the tourists in an old mining town is amusing for two sisters, until the tables are turned and the joke’s on them. Admission is free to this fun one-act play.
The CCHS Theatre 3 and 4 class presents a one-night only showing of “Melody Jones” by Ruth and Nathan Hale on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the CCHS Theatre.
This is the story of a young girl’s laughter and tears. Melody is honest, straightforward and uninhibited the kind of girl every boy likes and every father adores because she gives him headaches, heartaches and the joyful life. All of the joy goes out of Melody and her family at a party when her cousin, Elaine, has a jealous fit and tells Melody she is adopted.
Skylar Jones plays the role of Melody, Savannah Johnson directs. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for CCHS students and $2 for younger students and senior citizens.
The CCHS Theatre 2 class presents “The Staggering Heartbreak of Jamine Weatherford” by Don Zolidis at 7 p.m. on May 28th. The one-act play explores love from the viewpoint of a teenage girl. Great humor, music and fun. Admission is free.
The Churchill County Middle School Introduction to Theatre classes will perform two one-act plays at 7 p.m. on June 5 in the CCHS Theatre.
Sixth period will present “The Twelve Huntsmen” adapted from the Brothers Grimm by Tracy Wells.
Seventh period will present “The Thirteen Ghosts of Gimme Mine” by Amy Green. Both plays showcase the talent of these up and coming actors. Admission is free.
