The big case of the day was that of Paul Crosswell, arrested on the charge of threatening to kill on sight one Sam W. Williams, who had become enamored with Crosswell’s wife.

The state department of health has received inquiries taking salt tablets on very hot days to compensate for the body’s loss of this substance through excessive sweating. The department advises that in doubtful instances, the counsel of the family physician should be obtained.

Plans to create a regional park extending from the Spooner Summit area down to the Carson River are underway. The Clear Creek Regional Park Association is in the process of filing paperwork to become a non-profit, non-stock corporation.
