Carson High recognized for fitness efforts

Carson High School was recognized for dedication to health and fitness by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, which was founded by the American Heart Association and Clinton Foundation. “It’s so wonderful to have such an inspiring role model and advocate, especially during a time when schools and districts across the country are asked to do more with less resources,” said Abby Manishor, communications manager for the alliance. The school was awarded a silver status after receiving bronze from the same organization in 2011 for transforming its campus into a healthier place. Students took part in a “Get Fit Club” …
