Carson City man ascends to top Fleet Reserve role

Virgil Courneya of Carson City has been elected and installed as national president of the Fleet Reserve Association, which is a congressionally chartered military and veterans’ service group. The organization serves current and former enlisted members of the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. It works, among other things, at legislative advocacy on pay and benefits issues affecting enlisted sea service personnel and their families.
