Carson Aquatic Facility hosts annual self-paced triathlon
November 18, 2011
Think you don’t have what it takes to finish a triathlon? Think again. The Carson Aquatic Facility’s self-paced triathlon is back.
Keep your exercise program on track through the holiday season and accomplish something you never thought you could.
How does a self-paced triathlon work? It works like a regular triathlon – involving three disciplines of exercise: swimming, biking and running – except this individualized version takes place over a more than month’s time.
Participants choose the category distances they would like to enter based on their own schedule, strengths, goals and fitness levels, and then have a full 40 days to accomplish that goal either at the Aquatic Facility or on their own.
The triathlon will run Nov. 21 through Jan. 1. Categories offer a range of distance requirements to suit everyone’s needs and abilities. Participants who reach their goal will receive a triathlon T-shirt.
The cost for this event is $15 per person, plus pool admission when using the facility.
