The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• 12:37 p.m.: Richard Reid Adams, 27, of Carson City was arrested at Walmart on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic device and resisting a public officer. According to Adams’ arrest report, a deputy arrived at the parking lot after receiving a report of a man possibly looking to steal a vehicle with keys he’d found. Adams reportedly was holding a hypodermic needle and squirted brown liquid out of it when the deputy approached him, then wiped a spoon on his clothing. He also reportedly ignored several orders to exit the vehicle. The deputy found prescription bottles, a backpack, a small scale and pills in an unlabeled bottle in a backpack in the car’s trunk. Total bail was set at $8,200.
• 12:25 p.m.: Richard Allen Duncan, 45, of Minden was arrested at South Carson Street and Old Clear Creek Road on suspicion of DUI-first offense and open container. According to Duncan’s arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to the location on a report of a man who was passed out in a stopped car in the right lane of the road. The deputy reportedly noticed an open can of beer in the car’s center console cup holder and an open wine bottle on the front floorboard, and a test revealed Duncan had a 0.225 blood-alcohol level. Bail was set at $1,100.
