Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested on suspicion of DUI, child neglect

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
7:05 p.m.: John Fitzgerald Krupp Jr., 29, of Gardnerville was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a felony possession-of-a-stolen-vehicle warrant, as well as on suspicion of DUI-first offense within seven years. Bail was set at $10,000.
5:30 p.m.: A 27-year-old Sparks man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a warrant. Bail was set at $500.
9:40 a.m.: A 35-year-old Stagecoach woman was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a failure-to-appear warrant. Bail was set at $315.
8:19 a.m.: A 54-year-old Carson City man was arrested at East Long Street and Marian Avenue on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy saw him fail to stop at a stop sign. The arresting deputy learned that the man and his passenger had warrants. Also arrested was his passenger, on a contempt-of-court warrant. Bail was set at $1,000 for the man and $500 for the woman.
3:38 a.m.: Bernardo Vidal, 26, of San Francisco was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense and open container. According to Vidal’s arrest report, he had an open container of alcohol on the front passenger seat and several empty beer bottles on the passenger-side floorboard. Vidal reportedly admitted to drinking beers, then showed impairment on field sobriety tests. He reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.12 percent. Total bail was set at $1,100.
9:43 a.m.: Patti Ann Weir, 55, was arrested at Airport Road and Champion Street on suspicion of DUI. According to Weir’s arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to the scene of a crash involving a possibly intoxicated driver. Weir’s vehicle reportedly was in a home’s front lawn, and she told the deputy she had crashed because the two dogs in her car had jumped in her lap. She reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.16. Bail was set at $1,000.
8:37 a.m.: A 23-year-old Minden man was arrested at East Nye Street and College Parkway on suspicion of two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as on two failure-to-appear warrants. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy stopped him as he was running away from a domestic dispute, during which a woman was heard screaming. He reportedly acknowledged that he had a marijuana pipe in his pocket, then was taken to Carson Tahoe hospital for treatment of dog bites he’d suffered during the dispute. A second marijuana pipe reported fell out of his sweatshirt pocket. Total bail was set at $4,000.
12:01 a.m.: Cory Robert Campau, 19, of Carson City was arrested in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony violation of a protection order. Bail was set at $5,000.
7:45 p.m.: A 37-year-old transient was placed in civil protective custody in the 6700 block of Saddlehorn Road. According to the man’s arrest report, he was grossly intoxicated and was banging on the back door of an ex-girlfriend’s home when the arresting deputy arrived. The man reportedly said he had nowhere to go and no money, and the deputy told him he wasn’t under arrest and took him to the Carson City Jail.
9:09 p.m.: An 18-year-old Gardnerville woman was arrested in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of minor consuming alcohol and violation of a court-monitored sentence. She reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.17 percent, in violation of a court agreement. Total bail was set at $650. Also arrested was a 30-year-old Carson City man, on suspicion of violation of probation and possession of marijuana. He reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.13 percent and had a small amount of marijuana on the windowsill of the hotel room he was renting, in plain view. Bail was set at $3,600.
9:40 p.m.: Kasey Dawn Harger, 20, of Silver Springs was arrested on a felony violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant, as well as on suspicion of possession of marijuana. According to Harger’s arrest report, a deputy saw her driving 48 mph in a 25 mph zone. She reportedly gave a false name at first, and the arresting deputy discovered the warrant and then found a marijuana pipe in her purse. No bail was set for the warrant.
1:31 a.m.: Brogan Austin Cain, 27, of Carson City was arrested at North Carson and East Park streets on suspicion of child neglect/endangerment and DUI-first offense. According to Cain’s arrest report, a deputy pulled him over because he didn’t have a license plate light, then smelled the strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Cain reportedly acknowledged that he’d been drinking, and the deputy saw two children, ages 7 and 5, in the backseat. Cain reportedly had a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent, the legal limit for drivers. Total bail was set at $3,500.
5:30 p.m.: A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1900 block of Beverly Drive on a contempt-of-court warrant. Bail was set at $295.
12:52 a.m.: A 26-year-old transient was arrested in the 2100 block of East William Street on suspicion of obstructing an officer, as well as on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy asked him for identification while conducting a walk-through check at a casino, and he sprinted to an exit. The deputy reportedly caught him and had to force him to the ground to make an arrest. Total bail was set at $577.
9:53 p.m.: A 32-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 1800 block of North Edmonds Drive on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant. According to the woman’s arrest report, a deputy doing a walk-through check at a casino asked her for ID, then arrested her on the warrant. Bail was set at $855.
10:10 p.m.: A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 400 block of East Park Street on suspicion of a probation violation. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy was called to the site of a domestic dispute and learned that he was on an alternative-sentencing agreement that required him to avoid using alcohol. The man reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.15. Bail was set at $3,000.
8:18 p.m.: A 23-year-old Reno man was arrested at Rand Avenue and Long Street on suspicion of obstructing an officer. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy was dispatched on a report of a person running in and out of businesses in the area. The man reportedly got into at least three foot pursuits with deputies and was found hiding on the roof of a senior center. Bail was set at $300.
2:04 p.m.: A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a contempt-of-court warrant. Bail was set at $172.
The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies, violent crimes and DUIs.
