Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Pair arrested on drug-paraphernalia warrants
January 16, 2014
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• 3:32 a.m.: A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested at Walmart on Market Street on suspicion of violation of pretrial supervision and court-monitored supervision. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy went to the store on a report of a possible vehicle burglary in progress. When the deputy arrived, several store employees were pointing at the man, who was in front of the store. The deputy handcuffed the man, who was on an alternative-sentencing agreement. The deputy searched the man’s backpack and reportedly found two large containers of vodka and rum, both with some liquid missing. Total bail was set at $3,500. The vehicle-burglary report was unsubstantiated.
• 8:31 p.m.: Two Carson City men, ages 19 and 18, were arrested in the 1400 block of Como Street on possession-of-drug-paraphernalia warrants. Bail was set at $500 for each.
• 3:02 p.m.: A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested at Colorado and Kansas streets on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant. According to the man’s arrest report, a deputy pulled him over for going 38 mph in a 25 mph zone. A dispatcher confirmed the warrant. Bail was set at $492.
