Carson City woman dies in crash on 95A

SILVER SPRINGS – A Carson City woman was killed Sunday in an early morning collision in Silver Springs.

Nancy M. Axsom, 64, died after the vehicle she was riding in allegedly pulled out in front of a truck on Highway 95A at Green Avenue in Silver Springs.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Axsom was riding in a westbound 2003 Kia Sedona on Green Avenue when the driver proceeded through the intersection at 95A and failed to see a southbound 1995 Ford F350.

Trooper Joe Winchester said the truck struck the passenger side of the Kia. Axsom was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of either driver or the extent of their injuries were unavailable at press time.
