Sheriff’s Log: Carson City man allegedly breaks into barbershop

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent unless proved guilty in court:
• 1:08 p.m.: Mario Antonio Meza Jr., 23, of Carson City was arrested in the 2000 block of East William Street on suspicion of burglary and on a parole and probation violation. Meza allegedly broke through the window of a barbershop and stole money from the shop, then fled once the shop owner saw him looking through drawers. Meza’s father told deputies he saw his son break the window of the barbershop and attempted to cut him off with his car once Meza attempted to flee. He is being held on a no-bail hold.
• 1:20 p.m.: Armando Mejia, 40, of Carson City was arrested at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office on a Carson battery warrant. Bail: $500.
• 4:05 a.m.: Matthew Tom, 27, of Carson City was arrested in the 1700 block of North Edmonds Drive on suspicion of DUI third offense. Bail: $10,000.
• 4:46 a.m.: Vincent Ortez, 22, and Jennifer Robbins, 20, both of Carson City, were arrested in the 3200 block of Market Street on a Carson felony torture or starve animals warrant. Bail was set at $1,000 for each.
Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
