August 30, 2008
Three men were arrested Saturday for allegedly attacking the owner and employees of a bar on Old Hot Springs Road.
According to a report by sheriff’s deputies, Luis Castaneda, 24, Marcelo Castaneda-Pacheco, 24, both of Carson City, and Nestor Castaneda-Montes, age unknown, of Mound House, approached Luis Perez, the owner of JB’s Bar, and started an argument.
The report indicates Perez, manager of the bar, told deputies the three started an argument with him and several employees when Luis Castaneda allegedly pulled a tire iron out of his pants and hit Perez on the shoulder with it.
Perez said a second attempt was made, but he managed to grab the tire iron away from Luis Castaneda and hold the three at bay with it.
At that point, the three men began fighting with bar employees, and Nestor Castaneda-Montes allegedly threw a beer bottle and beer can at Perez, but missed, according to the report.
Employees Armando Perez and Ramon Martinez provided a similar account and filled out statements, the report said.
