Betty was born in Scoby, Montana in 1929. She and her younger brother, Ronald, grew up in Flaxville, the northeast farming area of Montana. In Oregon she joined a doll club and loved beach combing. Betty loved exploring with her husband, collecting rocks, road trips, hiking the backcountry, gardening and growing flowers. She enjoyed writing poetry. Her husband, family and friends were her passion in life and what she lived for.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Young.
